L'ASSOCIATION

France Inde Karnataka is a local development association. Its mission is to improve access to healthcare for inhabitants of Halligudi village and its surroundings, in the region of Karnataka, located in South India. The organization was founded in 1994 by Shri Mahesh Ghatradyal, who imported traditional Hatha Yoga to France in the 1950s, and who worked to bring Indian and French cultures closer to each other. Our projects bring quality healthcare to the inhabitants and help decrease infant mortality, which remains very high in this region. We do so thanks to a hospital, built more than 20 years ago, and to a new nursery project. To know more

The hospital When it opened in 1997, the healthcare center was a necessity. Indeed, no medical structure offering daily consultations by both alopathic and ayurvedic doctors existed within a 30 kilometers radius. More than 35.000 potential beneficiaries currently enjoy France Karnataka General Hospital Halligudi. To know more

Acquisition of the land

Thanks to the funds raised during the charity art sale auction Child Care For All, the association bought a plot of land of about 2.000 m2 in order to build its future nursery.
